The Oregon Senate has just approved the last of the major bills facing the Special Session, HB5101. This is the appropriation bill that distributes the new revenue and savings created in the passage of the other bills related to tax code revisions and PERS reform. It distributes $244 million this biennium, including $100 Million to schools, increases to higher education and community colleges, increases in services for seniors and, for the first time, a dedicated fund for mental health.
The bill was approved on a vote of 27-1.
The end of an amazing three days.
